Disassociative

Beginning: Opens with a montage of medical supplies. Shots of patients sleeping. All in white. Barcodes on their wrists. Rooms are all painted white. No furnishings. Everyone is awoken by screams of terror. Anna is backed up in a corner gripping the edges. She is yelling “get them away! They’re going to kill me!” Anna suffers from arachnophobia but she never actually has come in contact with a real spider since the age 10. She suffers from the delusion of seeing spiders when they aren’t there. She is still shrieking. We see he point of view from the corner. Tons of spiders cover the floor. Two guards burst in. “What the hell is going on in here”. Anna points to the floor, he finger trembling. Her point of view again, spiders on the floor now surrounding the feet of the two guards. A look of terror is written on he face. The guards pull a syringe and walk over to Anna and put the needle to he neck and shush her. The guards say they might as well feed the rest of the patients breakfast. The walk upstairs with a bowl of oatmeal. The go into a similar room to the last with a girl in a straight jacket. This is Violet, she suffers from intermittent explosive disorder, which is random outbursts of rage and physical violence. The guards set down the bowl and loosen the girls straps. Violet’s arms are now free. She immediately lunges at the guard, knocking him down and scratching and wailing on the guard. The guard pushes her off and the other guard pins her down and they re-strap her. The girl is now strapped in again, she stands up and slowly wanders around the room. “breakfast already? I hope it’s something other than that ghastly oatmeal I’ve had all week. Guards, “sorry violet, oatmeal again”. “that’s alright violet says. And sits back in the corner as if the altercation never happened. The guard walk to the next room. There sits Caleb, he suffers from Oneirophrenia which is the delusion that he is living a dream and nothing he is experiencing is real. The guards walk in. we see through Caleb’s eyes, things are growing on the walls in different colors, his eyes going in and out of focus at the guards. “breakfast, mr. sandman.” “even if I eat it, I won’t actually eat it. I’m just waiting to wake up, you see…” the guards put the bowl of oatmeal near Caleb. Still rambling “none of this is real, this isn’t oatmeal, this isn’t a bowl, I’m not really here….” The guards walk out as he rambles.

Middle: Caleb take a folded up sheet of paper out of his pants, un-does the plate on the wall revealing a hole, he puts the paper in the hole. Anna creeps out of her room and moves to the fireplace and opens the little metal slap revealing the paper. She goes back to her room. She looks at the paper and it simply reads “Noon we escape”. Caleb goes to violet’s room and calmly walks up to her and whispers in her ear and un-buckles the back of the jacket. Caleb cautiously backs away. And goes back to his room and just curls into a ball and smiles. Suddenly we go back to the guards in the kitchen. One of the guards is holding a tiny fake spider. “you think it would be funny if I put this on the spider girls sandwich?” “hahaha! Definitely. It’s what she gets for waking everyone up at the crack of dawn”

Ending: It’s noon. The guards walk to Anna’s room first with the sandwich with the fake spider on the top. They drop it down on the ground. Anna takes one look at it, her eyes widen, she screams and runs in the corner opposite in which she was sitting. The guards laugh begin to walk out of the room. Anna almost in tears tries to calm down. The guards walk up to violet’s room and drop the sandwich by her feet. “you go and try to eat this without your hands.” She lunges forward and reveals her freed arms. Violet yells “now!”. Caleb darts out of his room and into violet’s room and attacks the guards. The guards begin to beat up Caleb. Violet makes a run for it knocking down the other guard and going downstairs. “c’mon lets go!” “where’s Caleb?” Anna asks, “there is no time” the both run out the door. Caleb still being beaten by the guards is pulled up by one of the guards and puts his hands on his head. Caleb closes his eyes. The guard is hesitating. “Do it!!” Caleb exclaims. The guard gets a hold of himself and is about to break Caleb’s neck, “I’m waking up” Caleb whispers. A moment later Caleb is lying lifeless on the floor. Fade to white.

Treatment: fish in a barrel

Log Line: two people are found dead. An exploration leading to the events of their death


Teatment:

Beginning: opens with a small pool of blood and camera zooms out slowly, revealing an arm and as it continues to zoom out it reveals a body and after completely zooming out revealing yet another body surrounded by a pool of blood.

Middle: Alarm clock goes off and a person gets out of bed already in jogging shorts. the person goes outside and begins to jog on the sidewalk. A cellphone goes off displaying a text message. The message displays a person, place, time, and location. Person #2 grabs their house keys off dresser and grabs their butterfly knife and puts it in their pocket. person #1 is still jogging and is starting to jog in a less populated area. person #2 is walking in secluded area. Another person is revealed sitting relaxed, but only their feet are in focus.

End: Person #1 turns and heads into the secluded area. person #2 takes their knife out and begins to circle around the unsuspecting jogger. Person #2 stabs person #1 in the back multiple times. Person #1 falls to the ground. Person #2 takes out cellphone and types "eliminated" into his phone and presses send. before they put it away we hear a gunshot and a splatter of blood hits the screen of the cellphone. Person #2 hits the floor. A pair of feet walk into frame with the same shoes as the ones revealed earlier with the person out of focus. Person #3's cellphone rings. they take their cellphone out with a message asking if it is done. Person #3 types "yes". the feet are shown walking away from a close up to a long shot. halfway through the shot the phone rings again. The message asks "was it easy?". we see the hands on the phone typing "like shooting fish in a barrel".
